As the heat of summer seems to be cooking everything in sight, some plants remain steadfast in their attempt to put on the best show possible. While walking the Hilltop Trail, I found myself amazed at the profusion of Queen Ann’s Lace covering the hillsides. I’ve always loved the simplicity of this all white flower and decided to celebrate it and the late summer season by making an arrangement for our lobby. I only used plants that grew within a few feet of the featured flowers to create that natural, summer meadow feel. The finished product, anchored by a unique ceramic vase, is a monochromatic mix of Queen Ann’s Lace, Rattlesnake Master, and prairie grasses of differing varieties.
You do not need to be a florist to create a beautiful arrangement (I am not!).
Just find inspiration and run with it!
