Dear Honey Run Friends,
This day 40 years ago, The Inn at Honey Run opened its doors to guests. What a day that must have been. I imagine the staff was hustling with last minute details setting up rooms and unpacking new equipment. Oh, how exciting it must have been. I imagine Marge Stock, the founder and dreamer, was watching all the hustle and bustle with a proud satisfaction that she was finally realizing her dream of The Inn at 53 years of age.
Marge Stock and her business partner Margret Schlichting gave us all (guests and employees of The Inn) this beautiful creation we call The Inn at Honey Run. Their vision and foresight created this boutique resort nestled on its 56 acres. What they built they built to last. The Inn and its structures had no expense withheld. They built everything with multiple layers to ensure the property would stand the test of time. But better than the buildings and better than any physical items, these ladies built a part of their souls into the fabric of this property. Everywhere you look you see Marge and Margret. The attention to details is incredible. We have updated the aesthetics of the rooms and the common areas, but the way we operate is almost identical to how they started in 1982. I am most proud of the fact that we have maintained the personal relationships with so many of you, our guests. The Inn at Honey Run is an intertwining of team members and guests into a large extended unique family. I am thankful for the foundation that the ladies laid out for us. I have been so blessed to have The Inn at Honey Run as part of my life, and I pray that each of you feel the same way.
Happy Anniversary The Inn at Honey Run! God willing with many more to come.
Your proud Innkeeper,
Jason
Jason, we visited the Inn last week and stayed in the Honeycombs – our third stay – and it was amazing, as always! We enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Inn and also exploring Holmes County.
Many thanks to you and your staff for all that you do to make our stays something special to look forward to.
Best,
Don and Rhonda Jensen
Thank you Jason for the inspiring message. We have been privileged to enjoy the Inn and everything it’s about since it opened in the early 80’s. We continue to visit at least 2-3 times a year. The seasons are beautiful and both you and the staff continue to make it a very special place to visit.
It’s a wonderful retreat and a pleasant getaway.
Thank you for continuing the legacy and for making our stay memorable each time we visit.
These past few years have been difficult with the pandemic and the storms this past spring but you have gracefully handled these unexpected disasters with ease. At least that’s how you made it look!
Congratulations on 40 wonderful years at the Inn at Honey Run!
Sincerely,
Marilyn and Charlie
Happy Anniversary! I couldn’t recommend a better place to make memories and spend time with loved ones! I enjoy each and every stay.
Happy Anniversary! Honey Run keeps getting better every year. The honeycombs are my favorite and being the cat lover that I am, this place feels like home. It is so enjoyable walking the grounds and viewing the works of art. Great place to relax with a nice glass of wine and a great dinner.
Happy Anniversary! We have had many a stay at the Inn. Best of friends put us onto this paradise. Alas, they have passed, but the Inn lives on. If and when Covid relents, we will be returning to this wonderful place called the Inn at Honey Run!
