Dear Honey Run Friends,
In preparation for this letter, I read my past October writings. Most of my letters consisted of conversations about the fall colors and seasonal changes. And while this topic is certainly relatable it is also predictable. I do love fall and all that this season ushers into our lives. But the topic at the top of my mind and filling my heart is new beginnings.
I have lived a storied life. I have had opportunities to travel the world, meet exciting people, own and operate my own business, and be blessed with loving friends and family. I am blessed! This year has brought me my greatest joy in life, and if you can keep a secret, I finally found the woman of my prayers and dreams. I have had relationships and love along the way, or so I thought, until I met her. She has opened my heart and eyes to a reality I never knew existed. I have seen it in the movies and thought it was just that, a great Hollywood story. But my experience this year has shown me that this great love is possible in this life and love stories are real. I am so grateful for finding her and even more grateful that God has aligned our hearts together. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I know all that I will experience will be with her and this fact brings joy to my heart. I’m old enough to know that love, true love, is not just feelings but a choice. I choose to wake up each day and love her. I choose us. I pray each day that God molds me into the man she needs, and I pray that every step we take God is at the center.
I finally understand the joy I see on couples’ faces when they are in love at The Inn. I’m thankful and excited to know about this love so many of you have known for years. I pray if you have the love in your life that God has blessed you with that you show them everyday what they mean to you and never take them for granted. Love is a gift!
As I am riding high on the clouds of love so many songs have come to mind. If you want to rekindle or spark this flame in your heart, listen to these songs, and hold tight the one you love.

I hope you enjoyed the sappy love songs and if you are lucky enough to have found the one for you, hold them tight. And if you have not found the one, do not lose hope, God will open that door when the time is right. I certainly had to wait a lifetime to find and receive it, but I am so thankful I did!
Your loving Innkeeper,
Jason
Sooooo happy for you
My husband and I have shared beautiful moments at the inn enjoying wild flowers and birds as we hiked. He went to be with Jesus in August of 22 after 53 wonderful years together
May you and yours enjoy the great adventure of two becoming one
I am so sorry for your loss, Lee. What beautiful memories you and your husband shared at the Inn.
Jason,
Bill and I just celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary. It has been a blessed life. We are so happy for you. Our song throughout the years has been “And I Love You So” by Don Mc Lean. I hope you listen to it. Beautiful.
We hope to visit The Inn this fall.
All the best.
Martine & Bill
Jason, that is wonderful news! No one deserves happiness more than you. You give so much. We were at your Inn just last week and enjoyed it thoroughly as always. Best wishes to you!
Jason,
Roger and I are so happy for you and excited for your you both. God’s timing is everything and we know He has chosen the perfect one for you! God Bless you both!
Always appreciate your monthly thoughts! Blessings to you as you forge ahead with your new relationship! Allow God to guide and direct things, and no doubt things will proceed fine!
Many Congratulations, Jason! All the best of everything to you both.
I have known “real”, “good”, “life changing” love twice in my life. I lost my first love to a Brain Tumor and resulting problems. At his death, I said I would never marry again as I could never again find a Godly man that would love me. God stepped in and brought another Godly man into my life and our marriage is built on love, faith and all things good. God has blessed me twice, I am so happy you have found a woman to share your life with. Congratulations and may God Bless you both.
Jason- we are so excited to hear your own love story! We fell in love in the Fall and spent the first two days of our honeymoon at Honey Run. That was 38 years ago-we are still returning to the Inn when we can but it is always there, in the memory of our hearts. Congratulations to you both!
I love that you shared this story with your community! It is such a bright light in troubling times. Thank you for writing and thank you for providing such a special place for all of us to enjoy with our loved ones.
We are on our way for our first adventure at the Inn. We are newly weds, having married in January, 2023. Our special story is I am 74 and my husband is 83! Love sparked between us at our first meeting – we were introduced on line! So I agree – don’t ever give up; life and love can begin (again) at any time in your life. We are so happy and looking forward to our Inn getaway.
We got to know each other briefly in our senior year in high school. Then I was off to the Army and she to college. We didn’t see each other again for over 40 years. We had many chapters in our lives and suddenly through various circumstances after all those years we once again connected with each other. Now as we approach 19 wonderful years together we deeply appreciate our lives and make The Inn at Honey Run a romantic getaway twice a year.
Truly we are blessed.
Jerry F & Lynda B
