Letter from Jason – February 2026

Dear Honey Run Friends,

As the month of February has arrived the word community keeps coming to the top of my mind. Community is defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as:

: a unified body of individuals: such as
: the people with common interests living in a particular.
: a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger
: a body of persons of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society
: a body of persons or nations having a common history or common social, economic, and political
: a group linked by a common policy
: an interacting population of various kinds of individuals (such as species) in a common location
: a political unit (such as a nation or state) :

Community is one of the most if not the most important aspects of a healthy life for each of us. Our community begins with family and extends to our friend groups. If you are lucky, your community grows when you find a spouse to build your family community within this life.  We also grow into community with our church family and social groups. Our coworkers become part of our community as we spend a large percentage of our day with them at work. But we also find community in places like The Inn at Honey Run. A business like the Inn can take on a community and Honey Run has certainly done that over our forty-three-year history.

On our 56-acre slice of paradise lasting friendships have developed between team members, our guests, and our stakeholders. Personally, I have a strong community with a number of you who began as guests and team members and have become friends. In addition, I work with an incredible network of investors and contractors who have helped us complete work at the Inn while becoming some of my closest friends in my community.

Do you ever take time to think of your community? February is considered the month of love and there would be no love without community. Our first community I discussed was family, but I would be remiss to not state the fact that this family love begins with the community with God. God along with Jesus and the Holy Spirit define and create the perfect community. All other forms are pointing us to this perfect example of community.

My prayer is that each one of you has numerous positive community expressions in your life. My invitation is if you are looking to expand your community you consider The Inn at Honey Run. We are always here and ready to accept a new member into our community to share life, celebrate important life milestones, and to stand with you in challenging times.

I hope your life is filled with the richness of community and you know you are loved. Happy Valentine’s Day and happy February. May each day be a blessing for you and may you be a blessing to someone in your community.

Your richly blessed in community innkeeper,

Jason
