Dear Honey Run Friends,
I have enjoyed many destinations as I have been all over the world. Most recently I was in Thailand visiting with my brothers and sisters in Christ serving and living in Asia. As I returned home from this trip and traveled to the Inn I was reminded of how lucky I am to live in our country and work at the most beautiful location. It has been stated that there is something magical about the sanctuary of the Inn on these 56 breathtaking acres and I wholeheartedly agree.
Even now, as I write this it is almost 9pm on Friday, sitting by the darkened fire pit listening to the horseshoes make their rhythmic sound on the pavement under a dark sky illuminated by millions of stars. The Inn at Honey Run is an amazing place! These grounds have witnessed hundreds of thousands of souls seeking a respite from the world while finding a new friend in this beautiful Inn. There are people who have chosen the Inn as their favorite place on earth and even had their ashes scattered on our grounds for the final resting place so they can always be connected to the peace found here.
When I travel, I always look for resorts that provide all that Honey Run offers and sadly I am always disappointed because they all fall short. There is only one Inn at Honey Run and I am blessed to be the steward of this amazing boutique resort for this moment in history.
If you are looking for a clean, safe, hospitable, down-to-earth yet luxurious, quiet, incredible cuisine, and a place you can tune out the craziness and combativeness of our world and be one with your companion, yourself, and your Creator, come and experience this sanctuary. Come with no expectations other than rest for your soul. Leave your baggage on the road as you climb the hill to the front door of the Inn and learn to just Be. I promise you won’t be disappointed except for the fact that you will have to leave at some point and return to the world, but as a refreshed and renewed person.
I hope you make the time to visit for yourself and see if you come to the same conclusion I have; I love the Inn and I am grateful every moment I get to spend at this magnificent resort.
Your awe inspired Innkeeper,
Jason
Good morning, Jason!
Always so interesting of others’ travels to Thailand. Ed and l were there in the summer of 2007 for three week mission trip with 82 of our church in Mount Pleasant, SC, just outside of Charleston. All of the missionaries in Southeast Asia come together once a year in Chiang Mai, so our group takes care of all the children while their parents attend the conference. That area is the only area that has a goodly number of Christians. We ended our trip with three days on Phuket, and others went to Vietnam, Cambodia, China, or Japan. Just wondered if you were in the Chiang Mai area.
The newly renovated areas of the Inn look wonderful!!
