Dear Honey Run Friends,
We have just celebrated Independence Day, and this holiday is filled with emotion. While we are celebrating a collective independence as a country, many of us are celebrating individual independence as well. What does this day mean to you? Are you finally free from that addiction, from being overworked, that unhealthy relationship, from fear, from pain, from a disease? Independence is power, is freedom, is scary. When we walk or fight our way from what we know the future is uncertain, but to be free is worth this unknown. What we can be sure of in life is that if we tether ourselves to our Creator, we can be certain that He will walk with us through the valley, and we will never be alone. Independence gives us a choice of who we will serve in this life. And with this choice comes great responsibility and privilege.
I pray you are free from all that seeks to harm you in this life and the next and that you know true independence. And you can finally sing, Free at last, free at last, I thank God almighty I’m free at last.
Happy Independence!
Your prayerful Innkeeper,
Jason
Wow. Very powerful message. I never thought of freedom as being free of addictions, illness, etc. thank you!
As always Jason, you enlighten and motivate us all to be our best!
Jason,
After noting that amenities didn’t include the great breakfasts from past visits, my inquiry confirmed that breakfasts are no longer an amenity.
Our last stay of many had a cocktail hour as an amenity, which remains to this day.
We would prefer the breakfast rather than a cocktail. But I can see the reasoning for a cocktail hour, which could lead into a dinner hour at the Inn.
Alas, somethings change for economic reasons?
