Dear Honey Run Friends,
Have you ever been to the doctor and received a bad diagnosis for you or a loved one? If you are a business owner have you experienced a challenge where your largest client cancelled their order and you were struggling with cashflow to the point of not knowing how you would make it? Have you ever received that phone call that someone important to you just died? How do you make sense of these tragedies in your life? Where do you turn when your back is against a wall, and the big bad wolf of life has you pinned?
We just celebrated Easter last week and I can tell you that for me and my house, we turn to God. These situations are certainly extremes, but they do happen. The journey I have been on is how to trust God through these life challenges and how to not forget Him when life is good. When the stresses of life are overwhelming me one of the first things I want to do is talk to God. My second favorite coping mechanism is to sit silently watching the forest at The Inn. Observing God’s creation is good for my soul. This observation is not just watching but it encompasses all my senses. It is the sights of the trees and animals carrying out their busy day. It is the smell of fresh flowers and the distinctive scent of the forest. It is the feeling of the soft breeze through the trees on my skin and the sound of the birds singing their melodies with the crunch of the leaf cover as the animals move about. This scene heals my soul, the quiet brings me peace, and my spirit is elevated.
Life is challenging. Everyday seems like humanity is trying to see how far we can push the bar to our civility, our patience, and our compassion. Do not lose hope! There is good all over this world. Do not let the media, movies, social media, and all that bombard us with negativity steal the love and joy that exists all around us. I see this joy every day in the faces of all of you who visit. I am blessed to have quiet moments with many of you and learn your stories, hear your struggles, and see the healing power firsthand that The Inn at Honey Run offers so many of you.
My prayer for each of you during this Easter Season is that you find relaxation, restoration, and renewal. Jesus died for us to be released from the grip of this world, and it is our time to claim this gift. I pray that this season brings you and your family’s peace, joy, and the love of your Lord and Savior.
Happy Easter! Happy Spring! Welcome to the season of resurrection and new beginnings!
Your humbled Innkeeper,
Jason
Thank you so much Jason for the encouragement. It’s exactly what I needed to be reminded of today!
Good morning Jason,
I loved your insight for handling stressors of this life by trusting in God and Jesus. May He bless your boldness to always Glorify Him and His sacrifice for us, that we may live with Him forever!
My wife and I love the Inn – it has been a special retreat for us for so many years, and we cannot wait to return. The accommodations, The Tarragon dining, the serenity of the woods is all spectacular. Your upgrades look incredible as well.
We are excited for your business, with a strong Christian man at the helm. May this be an extremely fruitful season for you, for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Stu and Tamara Jenkins
Jason:
Your message is beautiful and well received. While my religious beliefs are different than yours, we share the same values and appreciation for the gift of life.
I have not been to the Inn in a few years, I am very impressed with the images of the upgrades to the property. Some day, my wife and I will return to the Inn at Honey Run with much joy.
Blessings,
Paul
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings.

Yes, and AMEM!! My husband and I will be staying in the Honeycombs the beginning of May in celebration of our 45th anniversary. The joy of our first experience at Honey Run was in 2001 our 20th. Room 426 at the Inn. We returned 2002, 2003, and a few more that I didn’t keep paperwork on. After trying new locations over the years we once again chose last year to return and stayed in a Club Level Guest House that we thoroughly enjoyed more than words can express. Honey Run is our first love and that will not change. We will be coming back for many years until Jesus returns or we go home to be with Him. Your property (sanctuary) is a small piece of Heaven on Earth. Thank you for keeping the standard of excellence, it is truly appreciated.
Thank you for your thoughts and for sharing your faith in God. We are on the same page. The Inn at Honey Run is terrific! Actually, we are looking for a bigger word. We can’t say enough good things about the Inn. Very peaceful. A respite from the challenges out here. A hint of heaven. Friends gave us a stay there a dozen or so years ago and we’ve been coming back 3 or 4 times a year ever since. We will be there again in a few days. A big Thank You to You and your Staff.
