One of our favorite things about The Inn is that it is a constant work in progress. While we love to stop and appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape alongside the hard work of our team, we never stop dreaming of new additions to enhance the guest experience and increase beauty and serenity across the property.
This past month, our Horticulturalist, Jordan Calame, has been hard at work in bringing to life our first “Living Quilt.” The structure exists adjacent to our upper sheep barn, just at the top of the hill. The frame is six feet long by six feet wide and features 144 handpicked and intentionally laid out pumpkins and gourds for fall.
The design will change seasonally with berries and ornaments for winter and will then become a living wall with various plants for spring and summer. Our goal is that, while exploring the property, guests will find yet another visually pleasing and carefully crafted structure, designed to merely accentuate the existing beauty of the surrounding landscape and wildlife.
We hope that you find time to come visit our Living Quilt in person this fall and that it gives you one more reason to come back each season.
Very cool!
