Where has the summer gone? The Holmes County Fair is over and the kids are heading back to school. We are looking forward to the busy season of “leaf peepers” heading to Amish Country to experience the Fall festivities and festivals.

As a Professional Wedding Planner the trend has been for the last 5-8 years that Fall weddings are surpassing the traditional June weddings.  This year the unique Saturday of 9-10-11 is a very popular wedding day.  Many hotels, resorts, and banquet centers have increased their price substantially for anyone wanting that day for their wedding.  I ran into a rental situation with my normal vendor who was sold old of a lot of the rental items I needed.  Of course I had other vendors to supply my needs but my favorite was so busy that I had to go elsewhere.  If you are choosing a unique date for your wedding, be pro active and book extremely early and secure all your vendors and rentals early to get the best prices.  New Years Eve falls into this category of being a high demand date.

The Inn at Honey Run is blessed to be situated on 50 acres with a protected tree farm on property.  The colors of fall are spectacular at the Inn.  And winter weddings are my favorite for beauty. Oh, the photographic opportunities for any bride and groom are always abundant but with Jack Frost painting the trees, what a beautiful backdrop for any wedding.
