Dear Honey Run Friends,
I genuinely love spring. Watching the foliage slowly come to life and seeing the new life on the surrounding farms, with the young animals finding their way, makes this time of year magical for me. When I lived in the city, spring offered warmth and the flower beds began their growth; but, now living in the country, it is so much more pronounced. Yes, the weather is volatile but that adds to the excitement. Some days are warm, spoiling us with a perfect climate and sun filled days. Then, just as I begin to take these perfect weather conditions for granted, a cold reminder of snow and gloom arrive. It is temporary but the point is made. Enjoy each day and be appreciative of those perfect moments. The other highlight of spring for me is that many of you come out of your winter slumber and rejoin us at The Inn at Honey Run for your annual pilgrimage. It is thrilling to see the hiking trails busy with bird watchers and hikers using their hiking sticks for the first time this season. I enjoy watching your faces light up as you watch this year’s lambs jump around on the hillside in their youthful joy. Yes, spring has arrived. I hope you have an opportunity to make some spring memories of your own. Take the time to slow down and enjoy the beauty of all that surrounds us.
Your appreciative Innkeeper,
Jason
I very much enjoyed reading your April newsletter. You gave me a pleasant reminder of Spring and why my husband and I look forward to visiting soon.
Thank you, Barbara
