Letter from Jason – December 2025

Posted on December 11, 2025
in Letters from Jason, Newsletter Content, Newsletters, Seasonal

Dear Honey Run Friends,

With AI creeping into every aspect of our lives and the uncertainty of tomorrow in the world, there is peace I receive in staring into the forest with its fresh snow cover. I’m not a tech person but I’m not against it either. I know enough to use it in my daily life but don’t care enough about it to want to know how it works. Nature masters a different hold onto my soul. I have no idea how it all works but I am in awe of its beauty and order. Watching the trees sway in the arctic breeze and hearing the squeaking sound the trees make as they move is oddly melodic.

Winter is almost here, Christmas is approaching, and the new year is just days away. This time of year, makes me reflect on the past year, dream of the year to come, and I try to pause for a moment and be grateful for all that I have been blessed with in life. Life is hard and full of challenges, but it also is filled with beauty and love. As I prepare to celebrate Christmas, I am reminded of what a magnificent gift I have in my Savior Jesus Christ. I am reminded that all that I am and all that I have is a gift and because it is a gift I try to live in response to this extraordinary present. I hope my words and actions reflect a life that is aware of the blessings I receive. I don’t love others and try to be my best for what I receive. I do it because I am filled with the love of our Creator and the natural response is to be loving. My selfish and human ways cloud this most beautiful expression out many times but when I get out of my own way and allow God’s love to lead, life is in balance.

I pray this season we all can get out of our way. That we stop killing each other through our words and by our hand. I pray the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love of the season become staples year-round. I pray we each place our neighbor above ourselves and share love with someone who is lonely and hurting. I pray the light of love shines through the darkness for you and your family this Christmas and that you have a blessed 2026.

Your love filled Innkeeper,

Jason

Thank you, Jason, for being a GREAT Inn Keeper. We have loved the Inn at Honey Run since Marge would greet us in the dining room and we would have that awesome coffee cake for breakfast! Your love for her memory and for those who come even now bring us sweet joy and special new discoveries at Honey Run.
THANK YOU for keeping the Dream alive!
