As a gardener and lover of being outdoors, I’ll never be able to narrow down a favorite season. Each has unique characteristics and plants to be enjoyed as the days pass. That being said, there are certain favorites of each season that I anticipate, oments or plants that really stand out and scream look! Lightning bugs in summer,
bountiful fall color, the first snow in winter. Lately, woodland wildflowers like Jack‐in‐the pulpits, bloodwort, and an array of trillium around the inn have been keeping my focus grounded. But, as I returned Monday for the start of another workweek, I found it impossible to ignore the explosion of green surrounding the inn. One of those seasonal phases that certainly had me catching my breath and taking a moment to embrace the beauty of our
woodland setting. The daffodils and crocus have long since bloomed, the redbuds slowly losing each precious pink flower as the days pass. As with every flower, each caused a spark of excitement and confirmation spring had arrived, but this week leaves burst from their buds in the brightest shades of green and its such a refreshing and exciting surround.
I can’t narrow down a favorite season, I rejoice in the prominent moments of each.
Happy spring!
