The Inn at Honey Run is located in Holmes County in the middle of the World's largest Amish population. Exploring the Ohio Amish Country can fill several days. There are many places to visit in Holmes County, all within 15 miles of the Inn. Below is a brief overview of the nearby villages of Millersburg, Berlin, Walnut Creek, Charm, Mt. Hope, Winesburg, and Sugarcreek, Ohio. Driving through the area reveals beautiful, rolling countryside filled with picturesque farms. Stop along the way to learn about the Amish culture; shop for antiques, Amish furniture or Amish quilts; browse fine art galleries; watch the making of cheese and chocolate; tour an Amish farm; explore the Amish Flea Market; and discover stores filled with old-fashioned products.

Millersburg (3 miles from Inn at Honey Run)
Millersburg is the county seat of Holmes County and has been recognized for its historic district, highlighted by the grand Millersburg Courthouse and Victorian House Museum. The Holmes County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau is located here.

Holmes County Trail:
This 12 mile section of the rails-to-trail is paved for biking, roller-blading, walking, running, and wheelchairs, while the other lane is paved with “chip and seal” for horse-drawn vehicles and horseback riding. It's part of the Ohio to Erie Trail connecting Cincinnati with Cleveland.

Berlin (5 miles)
Berlin is the most popular tourism destination for its variety of stores. More than 60 retail businesses are located within two miles in Berlin, making it a popular place to spend a day walking through town. Many of Amish Country’s well known attributes can be found in Berlin, such as cheese, furniture and quilts.

Walnut Creek (10 miles)
Walnut Creek Walnut Creek has a little bit to offer everyone. Visitors also can’t leave without indulging in a few treats from Coblentz Chocolate Company, where you can also watch as the chocolates are made and packaged. Several furniture stores are located in Walnut Creek.

Yoder's Amish Home:
Step back to a simple time and way of life. Tour an authentic 116-acre Amish farm. Yoder's Amish Home is located on State Route 515, a designated scenic byway, between Trail and Walnut Creek.

Fredericksburg (10 miles)
Amish Country Balloons: Float peacefully over Holmes County in a hot air balloon.

Roscoe Village: Once a bustling port on the Ohio & Erie Canal, Historic Roscoe Village now mixes the charm and history of the 1800's with history, culture, fine dining and shopping. 

Canton (37 miles)

Frazeysburg (44 miles)
Longaberger Homestead: You could spend the whole day in the Longaberger At Home store shopping for every room in your house, as well as your garden. But you'd miss the incredible restaurants, interesting basket making tours, historical displays, the chance to make your own Longaberger Basket, The Crawford Barn, old-fashioned ice cream shop and the Longaberger Factory Store.
