We’re big fans of the great outdoors here at Honey Run and why wouldn’t we be? Holmes County is a beautiful paradise of rolling green hills, birdsong, and (mostly) blue skies. We get several visitors to the Inn whose idea of enjoying the outdoors is eighteen holes on a lush, beautifully manicured golf course. We agree, there’s nothing quite like a leisurely day at the links breathing in fresh air and enjoying the peace and quiet. There are two excellent golf courses in Holmes County, not far from the Inn at Honey Run, and we recommend them both.
Just a few miles from us is an excellent example of well-manicured and expertly plotted greens that dates back to as early as 1929. It’s a good course for both the beginner and the veteran pro, as you can see most of the green from your tee and the layout is pretty wide open except for a few trouble spots to make things interesting.
Black Diamond is just as beautiful as Fire Ridge and shows the variety of Holmes County natural environment with a mix of field, trees, ponds, and slow rambling dirt paths to get across the greens. The course is actually a bit more complicated and will prove an interesting challenge for the seasoned golfer.
Let us book your tee time for you.
We’re close with both courses and want to make sure you get excellent treatment when you arrive. Check out our Clubhouse enhancement package when you book your next stay here at the Inn. We’ll make the arrangements at the golf course and spot you some drinks when you get back to the Tarragon.
Rest and recreation, that’s what it’s all about when you get away to Holmes County for a little vacation time. We’ve got something for Him and Her, plus a gorgeous environment to enjoy together. Your time at the Inn at Honey Run will be one you’ll remember for a long time. The serenity gets into your bones and you’ll be looking forward to your next visit as soon as you leave.
