Dear Honey Run Friends,
In a few short weeks, we are about to celebrate Thanksgiving, a holiday shared by all in the United States to give thanks for the many blessings in our life. It is easy to forget how good life is with the pain and suffering that the world holds, but if we are honest, even in our darkest moments we are receiving blessings. A soft smile from a passing person, the bountiful food at our last meal, clean water plentifully pouring through the spigot, clothing to keep us warm, and the momentary ability to breathe another breath of life. There is always someone who has it “better” than you do, but if you stop to appreciate the blessings you do possess, you may start to see the world differently.
Compassion would come before self; love would supersede hatred, and forgiveness would reign. We all say we want world peace. This peace starts with each of us individually and will slowly infect the world.
Please join me this Thanksgiving Day wherever you are in giving thanks to God for all our blessings while praying for those that are hurting and struggling. I pray that you have a blessed day of thanks and a moment to reflect on all that is good in your life.
Your grateful Innkeeper,
Jason
