Inn at Honey Run News

April 7, 2011 Newsletter

Dear Honey Run Guests,

If you are like me, you are ready for winter to leave. We have a beautiful day with sunshine and mild temperatures, then out of nowhere the thermometer drops, the sky turns gray, and this little white stuff is falling from the sky. It is frustrating and depressing to say the least. I have always been a winter guy enjoying the calm and quiet that comes with this slumber season, but enough is enough. I am ready for sunny skies and warmer weather. I have found great consolation in Chef Fetty’s cooking. Disappointed with the conditions outdoors, I enter the dining room and leave delighted. Chef Fetty’s fresh creations, coupled with the peaceful atmosphere and the wall of glass windows lofted into the forest, produces the perfect forum for a spectacular dining experience.

The Inn at Honey Run strives to continually enhance your experience. Our spring dinner menu is being rolled out in the next couple of weeks.  We have a new in-room dining menu offering lighter fare, which enhances the convenience of dining in your room for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night snack. The outdoor dining deck will be in full swing when the weather cooperates. The TreeTop Pavilion is now open and ready to host your private dining group. The Inn at Honey Run offers so many options for your dining pleasure. Chef Fetty and the culinary team, along with our dining room attendants, are ready to serve you. Please be our guest and create your own delightful dining experience at Honey Run.  I hope to see you soon.

Bon Appetite! Guten Appetit! Mahlzeit! En Guete!

Jason: Really like the look of your new website. Sounds like you are making some nice changes in the coming months. In room dining, OUTDOOR patio dining, etc. should all be good changes! Good luck with the coming spring and summer months. I’m sure business picks up during this time as travel in Amish country in the winter months isn’t always easy. Continued good luck and success with your new adventure!

New web site looks very nice.
I have been to the Honey Run Inn twice.A few years ago my husband and I stayed in the honeycombs for a wedding anniversary. Our dear friend’s whose wedding anniversary is near the date of my husband’s and mine also stayed at one of the honeycomb rooms. We ate at the restaurant, we hiked, we shopped. We really enjoyed ourselves. Several months later our friend’s spent a weekend at the Inn with their son and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Recently (this past winter following the holidays), I brought my family to the Inn for a family retreat / birthday celebration ; we stayed in one of the cabins. Both places we’ve stayed at were fantastic, each with their own allure & ambiance. I like the comfortable, inviting feeling I get while staying at the Inn. Both stays have been relaxed, enjoyable & great for re-connecting. My family is seriously considering making the Inn at Honey Run an annual family retreat event. This is quite significant as my children typically prefer not being around Mom and Dad very much; for them to say they want an annual family retreat at the Honey Run Inn is something I will cherish & of course jump on. I’ve also thought the Honey Run Inn would be a great place for a “girl’s weekend out” – hit the spa, shop, eat at your restaurant, enjoy and spoil ourselves for a couple of days.
