Letter from Jason – April 2019

Dear Honey Run Friends,

As the spring season is slowly coming out of its winter slumber, I am always in awe of the new birth on the farms and seeing the young animals being born. It’s fun to see new lambs and baby cows starting their life journey. This also causes me to reflect on how fragile life is for us. It is easy to take for granted our health and daily life. We go through our days as though they are going to last forever. It is only when we are confronted with death that we stop and appreciate for the moment what we are experiencing.

We do not like change and transitioning from this life to the next is always difficult for those of us who are left behind. Even though we know this is the cycle of life, we do not like it, and we hate that we cannot change it. So, what do we do?

We must appreciate each moment and really be present with the people we are with at the moment. We must not leave things unsaid, and we must celebrate life as long as we are living. While we can focus on the loss, I encourage you to shift the focus on to the gain. Remember the time you had with your loved one. Remember the joys and sorrows, and always remember the piece of that person that lives on in you. We all have an impact on the people around us, and it is my prayer that your impact is positive and will help make our world and those holding onto you better.

I truly believe just as your loved ones were overjoyed with your arrival on this earth, I believe that our loved ones who have passed on are there cheering us home when we leave this world for the next. So, with a heavy heart, I say goodbye to winter, and as the season transitions to spring, I am filled with joy as I experience the new birth and rejuvenation that is occurring all around me.

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!

Your grateful Innkeeper,

Jason

Thank you Jason for your inspiring words.
My Mother passed on several months ago and your thoughtful letter has really comforted me! It helps me focus again.
Your last letter also was wonderful! We truly can celebrate the true meaning of Easter, Jesus and all He has done for us!
You are changing the world for good by affecting the people you are in contact with.
    God bless you!
