Letter from Jason – October 2025

Dear Honey Run Friends,

Fall has begun and as we prepare for the winter slumber of the forest and wildlife, this year is different than most. Normally after the fall we slow down a little and have a chance to catch our breath from the influx in business for the fall foliage. But this year we will be just as busy if not busier as we work feverishly over the winter to fully renovate all our rooms at The Inn.

You have seen the announcement about the Club-level Honeycombs a few weeks ago but this is just the beginning! Some other high points to note:

  • Every Room at The Inn will be remodeled between December 1, 2025, and May 1, 2026. That means that in May for the first time since the Inn opened in 1982 every room will be brand new. This remodel will keep the charm of The Inn but will provide much needed updating of the bathrooms with tiled showers, new carpet, new furnishings, paint, and decor.
  • In addition to the rooms, we will be remodeling the Treetop Pavilion to close this building with glass allowing it to be used year-round and a complete makeover of the Sage Room. These remodels will offer more beautiful spaces for our weddings and offer new technology and comforts for our business groups and retreats.
  • We will be updating all the hallways and the restrooms just outside of Tarragon. As many of you noticed Tarragon was just remodeled this summer with fresh decor and a new branding.

Finally, we will be formally announcing in January our newest amenity that we are really excited about and should arrive late 2026 or early 2027. We are building a Wellness spa on the property. This has been a dream of mine for 16 years and the time is finally right for us to proceed. Keep watching our emails for pictures and a detailed list of all the new offerings of the wellness spa. This addition will be kept in line with the spirit of Honey Run offering a place of physical and spiritual renewal while offering more experiences for each guest.

I am so proud of what Honey Run is today and I am so excited for what we are growing into this coming year. These improvements will only enhance your experience while maintaining The Inn you love for the next 43 years! Thank you for your support and loyalty. The best is yet to come!

Your excited Innkeeper,

Jason

We’re so excited for all the upgrades you’ve mentioned. My wife and I have been coming to the Inn since 1985 – honestly, back then we were always the youngest couple there ……. now, we’re the oldest (& that’s ok as time moves on). In fact, we’ll be there this weekend and are looking forward to the redesigned Tarragon with their new menu – and yes, we remember back in the day when it was all “Amish comfort food”. We’ve seen a lot of servers come and go but always enjoyed talking about our families and memories we’ve created at the IHR.
Good luck with your aggressive project – we’ll see everyone this weekend.
