Employee Tracey Alexander was recently honored with the 2007 Employee of Distinction award for Goodwill Industries of Holmes County. Goodwill showcased the talents of employees who exemplify excellence in the workplace. They recognized the fact that companies depend on the excellence of their staff. Each employee nominated went above and beyond the call of duty in order to succeed.   The General Assembly of the State of Ohio Senate presented her with an award for Outstanding Achievement. The award stated that she is a remarkable individual combining civic concern with the utmost professionalism to become a dynamic leader in the community. It noted tribute to her for her exemplary efforts as the lead server at The Inn at Honey Run and her devotion to service and a conscientious, hard working Ohioan.   We are very proud to have Tracey win this award and have her as part of our Team here at The Inn at Honey Run! She is a fine example to her co-workers and truly an Employee of Distinction!

Finding folks Honking the right way at work is key to making this program work. This program is designed to identify and reward people who apply the “Lessons of the Geese” to daily living at the Inn. It’s objective is to encourage individuals to find excellence in other team members each and every day. To participate, one must carefully read the Lessons of the Geese then seek out someone who:
 
-   Goes the extra mile to help a co-worker get his/her job done
-   Helps lift someone’s spirit
-   Provides extraordinary service to a guest
 
When you identify someone Honking in one of these ways, run to a “Honker’s Station”, grab a Honker Sticker and place it on the honking person. In doing so, you’ve nominated a person for the Honker of the Week Award. Complete the simple nomination form explaining their contribution and place in the Nomination Envelope. The award will be announced at the Weekly Managers Meeting. Each “Honker of the Week” will receive a special pin to wear for that week and will automatically be a nominee for the Lead Goose of the Month Award. Selected by the Innkeeper, the “Lead Goose of the Month” will receive:
 
-   A $50 Bonus
-   A designated Parking space identifying them as the Lead Goose of the Month
-   Recognition in the Front Lobby Kiosk with a picture and article
-   Automatic nomination for the Annual Golden Goose Award
 
The annual “Golden Goose Award” will be chosen from the twelve Lead Goose of the Month winners. The winner will have demonstrated extraordinary service and loyalty to the Inn, its guests, and fellow team members. He/She will have applied the Lessons of the Geese and The Twelve Great Beliefs to their work in special ways. The owner of the Inn will carefully select the winner.
 
-   The Golden Goose Award winner will be announced at the Staff Christmas Banquet
-   He/She will receive a $1,000 Bonus
-   He/She will receive a gift certificate for an overnight stay at any Select Registry Property
-   He/She will receive a very special 18-karat gold Golden Goose Pin
