Ohio Amish Country Bird WatchingBird Watching
The Inn at Honey Run bird habitat of woods and fields boasts many different species of birds, with Ohio bird watching at its finest. In fact, 102 species of birds have been seen at or near the Inn. Some of these reside in the area throughout the year, but others arrive in the spring, establish homes, raise families, and leave in the fall. Others pass through during the spring and fall migrations. Still others arrive for winter and return north in the spring, and a few species visit the area irregularly and infrequently. The constantly changing mix of birds is part of the enjoyment of watching them, and the Inn offers many opportunities for some of Ohio's best bird watching from your guest room, a garden deck, or along one of nature trails. See our bird watching index, a complete list of birds seen in our bird habitat.

Hiking Trials in the Ohio Amish CountryNature Hiking Trails
Take a hike! Ten nature trails meander through our 70-acre country estate in the rolling hills of Ohio, and they are perfect for a short hike through rolling pastureland, woodlands, and along a ridge top with panoramic views. Along each trail, see our diverse plant life with 1,200 species. There are benches along the trails so you can sit down and enjoy the birds, deer and other wildlife.

Here is a brief overview of the trails, which are some of the most scenic Ohio nature hiking trails:
